Featured Projects

Pollutants and environmental contaminants can complicate the sale, expansion, or redevelopment of abandoned or underused industrial and commercial properties. These sites are usually eyesores and can threaten public health and limit economic development. We work with industrial and commercial businesses, bankers, attorneys, developers, real estate brokers, insurance companies, and local and state regulatory agencies to solve environmental problems and create opportunities for investment and growth.

City of Bothell Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Study
Kane Environmental prepared a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study (RI/FS) to characterize the horizontal and vertical extent of halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs) in soil and groundwater beneath the site and or nearby properties from a former on-site dry cleaner.

Kane Environmental completed a Cleanup Action Plan under a Consent Decree with the Washington State Department of Ecology using electrical resistance heating (ERH) to remove dry cleaning solvents from subsurface soil and groundwater.  The remedial action also includes a bioremediation and groundwater recirculation system to cleanup residual contamination, along with some targeted near-surface soil removal and soil vapor extraction.
